Drawing deep from childhood memories of Cape Town’s light, land and memory-scapes, this new body of work marks a clear shift in Zono’s practice. In The Gravity of a Dream, he invites viewers into his inner world: paintings as ‘maps of the mind’, direct, intuitive and anchored in the passage of time. The exhibition brings these ideas into sharper focus, where instinct becomes structure, and where each canvas pulsates with movement, nostalgia and possibility.
