We are delighted to announce THE TAGLI's 2026 Mentorship Award in partnership with Rosewood London. THE TAGLI takes its name from the iconic canvas cuts of Lucio Fontana - an artist who transcended painting to open up new space and dimension. That same spirit of cutting through convention drives our first hotel partnership for this award with Rosewood London. Both THE TAGLI and Rosewood London share a belief in championing emerging talent, operating with transparency and honesty, and treating art not as a passive backdrop but as something to be actively supported, experienced and lived with - this collaboration combines fiscal support with a meaningful public platform. The award recipient will be exhibited alongside a curated selection of artists, including THE TAGLI artists as well as other shortlisted nominees, within Rosewood London. This exhibition will launch in conjunction with Frieze week 2026 in London.
The exhibition is part of The Living Gallery, Rosewood London's commitment to championing emerging artists and celebrating contemporary creativity through rotating exhibitions across the hotel's historic spaces. As part of The Living Gallery, the hotel's rotating artist residency programme, the series continues to spotlight a dynamic roster of emerging contemporary artists connected to the city of London.
The Mentorship Award recipient will receive:
- A year-long mentorship with THE TAGLI team - regular mentor meetings, bespoke career coaching, and access to industry knowledge, helping the recipient launch and develop their practice in line with current market dynamics.
- Inclusion in the group residency exhibition at Rosewood London, showcasing their work within the hotel's public and guest-facing spaces.
- A £2000 bursary provided by Rosewood.
Two shortlisted nominees will have their work included alongside the winner in the same group residency exhibition, shown alongside a curated selection of artists from THE TAGLI's programme. They will also each receive a £500 bursary provided by Rosewood.
Featured and selected artists will also be highlighted across THE TAGLI's and Rosewood London's social media platforms and websites, gaining visibility within our expanding network of collectors, clients, curators and art institutions.
The Mentorship Award winner and selected artists will be announced on Instagram - @thetagli and @rosewoodlondon on Tuesday 22nd September. Follow both accounts for all updates and results.
This open call seeks artists whose practice includes painting, photography, drawing and sculpture. We welcome submissions from emerging artists. THE TAGLI’s goal is to build long-term relationships with artists, fostering connections that extend beyond a single show - through our gallery programme, advisory projects, and special collaborations.
